Nike+ was introduced to the global media in 2006 at Chelsea Piers in New York. Alongside Nike President Mark Parker was Steve Jobs, Lance Armstrong and champion marathon runner Paula Radcliffe. Chelsea Piers was sectioned off into 3 different zones for the event. The stage and presentation area, a product and interactive zone for members of the press to experience Nike+, and finally a large area for Sportswear and running retailers to meet with the Nike Sales force and book potential orders.
